This faux marble column is one of many, painted for a stately northern New Jersey residence, which was featured on the cover of Unique Homes magazine’s September 2007 issue. We collaborated with Christine D’Angelo on the project, for which we won an industry award.

A multi-layered plaster finish gives a warm, European feeling to a vast kitchen. The moldings are also glazed in two colors, and the dentil molding has been gilded.

The glazed stripes in this foyer were inspired by old movie theaters. They make a perfect backdrop for our client’s collection of vintage movie posters.

The stripes are edged with gold leaf, which works well with the lovely frames.

For fun, we accented a wall with a diamond pattern in the same color as the stripes.

A small powder room feels opulent with a 22-karat gold leaf ceiling, and colorwashed walls.

For the tray ceiling of this palatial master bedroom suite, we applied an ochre Venetian plaster finish with inlaid ornament. The plaster was polished with copper metallic wax.
